“A final decision on accedence to NATO will be taken
only after consultations with the Ukrainian people,”
Hryhoriy Nemyria told journalists.
“Joining the NATO Membership Action Plan doesn’t mean membership,” Hryhoriy Nemyria emphasized.
This week President of Ukraine Viktor Yushchenko, Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Arseniy Yatsenyuk have sent a letter to NATO Secretary General saying that Ukraine expects joining the NATO Membership Action Plan during the Ukraine-NATO Summit in Bucharest April 2008.
